Parallel Mirrors

I woke up today
Just like any other day
Except I felt rather different
Than any other day

Got out of bed
I felt so weird
and when I looked in the mirror
There was nobody there,

I heard:

Open your eyes...
Don't fall,
Fly...

But fight!

Parallel Mirrors,
In your eyes.
Shattered glass,
Has nowhere to hide"

My limbs far and near
Couldn't find my face
A bright white star
Had taken its place

My transparent skin
Evaporated and thin
Nothing was left
To hold me in
